Coach Joel Martinez brings over 28 years of coaching experience and a passion for empowering youth to La Copa. A firm believer in developing well-rounded athletes, Coach Joel combines technical skills training with life lessons like teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. His energetic and supportive approach has helped shape the skills and character of young players in the community for more than 28 years." 🏀

I am passionate about sports just like my wife and children I currently have a Basketball Academy called Stars CUU in Chihuahua.
I have been a sports advisor and sports agent for more than 15 years in this journey we created various Professional and Amateur Leagues and currently the U18 State Development League is still in force in which we have had the opportunity to help more than 100 young people to obtain University Scholarships through this platform.

Coach Nestor boasts over 16 years of basketball experience, primarily as a point guard. Standing at 5’2”, he actively participates in local leagues in Sonora, Mexico. During his tenure, he has achieved significant success, winning championships with Velcro CTM in 2019, and securing second place with Cavaliers in 2017 and Saaco in 2016. Additionally, he owned and directed Club Vaqueros for several years, where U12 to U18 players participated in both local leagues and foreign tournaments.

I am Melissa Martínez, I am 26 years old.
I played high school ball at Provo High School graduated in 2018. Played 2 years of juco at Northwest college in Wyoming where I got my associates in Pre-physical therapy. Then played at Dickinson state university in North Dakota where I graduated in 2023 with a bachelors in Exercise Science.

Christian Martinez is a father of four children, a happy husband and passionate about helping others grow in life.
Originally from Chihuahua, Mexico, he began his journey in the world of sales in 2001 with life insurance, learning early on the importance of protecting families. Since 2002, he has been dedicated to mortgage loans, helping hundreds of people fulfill the dream of having their own home.
Over time, he has also built multiple businesses, including his own marketing company, where he combines strategy, creativity and connection with people.
Today he arrives at this basketball league as part of the marketing team, bringing not only experience in business, but also his love for sport, community and personal growth.
